DUO SENSOR technology
The innovative DUO SENSOR technology combines two professional measuring methods: the Oscillometric technology and the Korotkoff technology.
Whereas the majority of automatic blood pressure monitors only function using the Oscillometric technology, which evaluates arterial pulse waves, the DUO SENSOR technology additionally measures using the very precise Korotkoff method, where a microphone is used to record heart sounds.
Doctors also use the Korotkoff technology to measure blood pressure, since this is very reliable (gold standard) and also provides correct readings in patients with cardiac arrhythmias.
