The Rusch Gold Foley 2way Latex (Latex) catheters are flexible tubes that pass through the urethra into the bladder.
They are held in the bladder by means of a balloon that is at the tip that fills with sterile water.
The circumference of a Foley probe is described using the Frenches (FR) unit of measurement.
The most common Foley catheters range from FR 12 - FR 28 (1 FR is equivalent to 0.33 mm) whereas sizes below 10 are for pediatric use.
